ALSCO UNIFORMS WILL SERVE AS PRIMARY SPONSOR FOR BOTH AUSTIN HILL IN ALSCO UNIFORMS 300 NASCAR XFINITY SERIES AND KYLE BUSCH IN COCA-COLA 600 NASCAR CUP SERIES RACE AT CHARLOTTE MOTOR SPEEDWAY.

SALT LAKE CITY — May 23, 2023 —Alsco Uniforms is the worldwide leader in providing rental laundry services for linen, workwear uniforms and facility services to many customers including restaurants, healthcare, automotive industry, and industrial facilities. Alsco Uniforms is proud to be the primary sponsor of the No. 21 Chevrolet Camaro driven by Austin Hill for Richard Childress Racing (RCR) in the Alsco Uniforms 300 NASCAR Xfinity Series race on Saturday, May 27 and the No. 8 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 driven by Kyle Busch, also for RCR, in the Coca-Cola 600 NASCAR Cup Series race on Sunday, May 28 at Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina.

Alsco Uniforms backing of Hill for the Alsco Uniforms 300 marks the 10th consecutive year of the company's partnership with RCR for this event. Furthermore, Alsco Uniforms is honored to celebrate eight consecutive years as the title sponsor of one of the marquee races, the Alsco Uniforms 300, on the NASCAR Xfinity Series calendar at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Memorial Weekend.

"I haven't checked the Vegas odds, but I believe Alsco Uniforms has to be the favorite to have back-to-back Victory Lanes at the NASCAR Xfinity and Cup races at Charlotte Motor Speedway on May 27 and 28," said Honorary Starter Ben Fox and Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Alsco Uniforms. "With Austin Hill driving for us in the Alsco Uniforms 300 on Saturday and Kyle Busch driving for us in the Coca-Cola 600 on Sunday, I'm betting on a Memorial weekend sweep by both Alsco Uniforms cars powered by Richard Childress Racing."

Hill has competed in the NASCAR Xfinity Series since 2019 and currently leads the series with three wins this season. Hill has five career Xfinity Series victories and has grabbed 17 top-five and 33 top-10 finishes to go along with three pole awards. Previously, Hill spent four full-time seasons competing in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, capturing eight wins, 27 top-five and 54 top-10 results and three pole awards.

Busch is one of the greatest NASCAR drivers of all time. The two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion also owns the most all-time NASCAR national series wins with 226. In 2018 the Las Vegas native finally crossed off the only track, Charlotte Motor Speedway, where a points-race victory had eluded him. He went on to win again in 2020 at the iconic quad-oval, making it his 97th career NASCAR Xfinity Series race victory at the time.

In addition, to sponsoring two of the premier drivers in the sport today, Alsco Uniforms has proudly appointed Samantha Busch, wife of Kyle Busch, author, entrepreneur, infertility warrior, and philanthropist, as the Grand Marshal of the Alsco Uniforms 300 NASCAR Xfinity Series race.

"I am honored and excited to be named the Grand Marshal of the Alsco Uniforms 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway," said Samantha Busch. "May is such an exciting month for us with all the birthdays and racing at home, this will be such a fun weekend for our family. Kyle is also racing in the Alsco Uniforms 300 and then will be driving the No. 8 Alsco Uniforms Chevy on Sunday with a paint scheme that includes red poppies to help us remember and honor the sacrifice of those who have died protecting our freedoms. I am looking forward to delivering the most famous words in motorsports and being a part of this special memorial weekend with Alsco Uniforms."

Along with the red poppies on the paint scheme of the No.8 Alsco Uniforms Chevy, it will also include the name of a fallen soldier. Jack William Roper was born on April 1, 1923, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to John and Mignonne Roper. A graduate of Granite High School in Salt Lake City, Jack worked at the Western Electric Company before enlisting in the U.S. Navy. During World War II he served as a radio technician second class aboard the USS Mahan (DD 364), a destroyer that played a pivotal role in the Pacific theater. Jack’s life was tragically cut short on December 7, 1944, during the Battle of Ormoc off Leyte, Philippines, when Japanese kamikaze aircraft severely damaged the ship. Jack was posthumously awarded the Purple Heart for his bravery and sacrifice.

Jack was survived by his wife, Estella Walbom Roper, and his son, Ronald M. Roper. Known for his dedication to his country and his family, Jack’s legacy lives on through his loved ones. His service and ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty stand as a testament to his unwavering commitment to preserving freedom during one of the most challenging periods in world history.

Please join the Roper, Bangerter and Mackay families along with Alsco Uniforms and Richard Childress Racing in commemorating Jack’s heroic sacrifice during Memorial Day weekend.
